SYMPOSIUM
The symposium will be held on the
2nd, 3rd, and 4th of February, 1997(2005) in
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

you to participate in the Symposiums (read
her words)
The aims of the Symposium are to:
- Bring our people of Africa, at
home and abroad, together to explore solutions to the
devastating impact of HIV/AIDS, environmental degradation
and gender discrimination on our lives and our future
- Demonstrate the universality
of the lyrics of Bob Marley, the Honor Rebel
- Strengthen the work and the will
of our people to secure a peaceful future
The format of the symposium will
be panel presentations by eminent activists and academics,
with facilitated small group discussions. Plenary will
ratify summary recommendations in light of each day’s
theme.
Each day will culminate in the planting
of a tree signifying our faith in the daily theme.
